I have a crush on a co-worker. We are both over 30. I did a couple of odd jobs for her around her house and after the jobs were finished I noticed a definite coolness in her attitude towards me. Anyone I tell this to says I was just being used. Deep down I feel my friends are right but I can't get her out of my head.

Dear Love sick
If you want to find out for sure if she likes you or not, ask her out on a date. If she says no then move on.

I have a problem. I have recently become single again and I am having trouble with people assuming that I need a new partner. I have tried to be firm and pleasant, but as I work in the service industry, I can't easily avoid these advances. Short of being rude, I can't seem to stop people from matchmaking or wanting to date. Friends say to just tell them I have somebody, but not only is this a small town, it would be lying, and I shouldn't have to do that.
Hoping you can find the words that will allow me to celebrate my celibacy,

Hi Teed off:
Just say thank very much for caring but you would like time to be with
yourself right now and when you are ready to date you will let them know.
Phoebe
